Assistant Manager, Product Development - Hair Product

Job Description Summary:The Assistant Manager, Product Development – Hair Product position is responsible for supporting the development of new Hair & Beauty products from initial concept through commercialization.The role will work closely with Product, IPM, Design, Sales, and overseas vendors/factories to manage product concepts, samples, specifications, cost, quality, and development timelines for existing and new Hair Brand initiatives.Job Description:Key ResponsibilitiesResearch market trends and identify opportunities for new Hair Product development.Develop product concepts based on market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.Manage the sample development and evaluation process from initial concept through final approval.Source and communicate with overseas vendors/factories regarding product development.Establish and maintain product specifications, materials, colors, styles, and quality standards.Review product samples and coordinate necessary modifications and improvements.Work with vendors and internal teams on product cost, quality, packaging, and development timelines.Coordinate with Design on packaging and product presentation requirements.Partner with IPM to support production transition and initial purchase orders following product approval.Monitor Hair / Beauty / Fashion trends and competitor products to identify new product opportunities.Support development activities for both existing Vivace products and new Hair Brand initiatives.Maintain product development documentation, sample records, and project timelines.QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred.Experience in Hair / Beauty Product Development, Product Management, or Sourcing preferred.Experience with Human Hair, Wigs, Extensions, Braiding Hair, Crochet Hair, or related Hair Products is highly preferred.Experience working with overseas vendors/factories is preferred.Knowledge of product development processes including sampling, costing, specifications, and quality control.Strong understanding of Beauty, Fashion, and consumer trends.Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Korean-English bilingual preferred.BenefitsPremium Medical Insurance Coverage401(k) Savings PlanPaid Time Off (PTO) based on seniorityPaid HolidaysAdditional Workplace Offerings (subject to change or eligibility.)Annual Bonus PlanOnsite Employee Fitness Center with Indoor Racquetball Court and Yoga RoomSummer FridaysComplimentary Gourmet Breakfast, Lunch, and DinnerRelocation Support for New HiresWork Anniversary RecognitionsCongratulatory & Condolence GiftsEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramLicense/Certification ReimbursementsCorporate Employee DiscountsVisa Sponsorships (100% paid by the company) i.e., New H-1B, H-1B Transfer, O-1, and Green CardCommuter Support (Shuttle Bus Program and EZPass Support)Vehicle PerksQualification(s):Education(s):Bachelor of Arts (B.A): Business Administration/ManagementWork Experience:Experience Range III: 4 - 8 years of relevant experience or industry exposure in a related fieldSkill(s):Product DevelopmentLanguage(s):KoreanCertification(s):Not ApplicableThe anticipated compensation range is22.75 - 44.50 USD HourlyActual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location.
