Shipping and Receiving

Leading manufacturer has a immediate need for a shipping & receiving clerk.

Job Responsibilities:

The clerk will prepare outgoing shipments to customers and will process incoming shipments for in-

house stock inventory. They will also assist in the handling and preparation of outgoing shipments to

ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Daily handling of incoming materials:

o Receive and sort incoming packages

o Enter incoming ingredients into the inventory system

o Communicate with supervisor to report and resolve issues related to incoming materials

o Report quantity discrepancies and defective materials
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jacks to load/unload trucks
• Repacking of powder food ingredients
• Prepare and organize outgoing shipments to include shrink-wrap and palletizing
• Comply with all company regulatory and internal safety requirements
• Other duties as assigned

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Attends all required training and staff meetings
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the

preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards customers, visitors, and co-workers
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Penta Fine Ingredients
• This position is accountable for daily operation of the Shipping and Receiving department and is

expected to bring issues promptly to the attention of the supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: $22.00 to $24.00
• 1-5 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse shipping

environment a plus
• Knowledge and ability to operate various lifting equipment (i.e, forklift, pallet jack, etc.) Will train on equipment if needed • Knowledge of various forms that are used by major freight carriers • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to read and understand English • Fluency in English and Spanish is required • Ability to manage time independently and multi-task • Able to work under pressure and meet flexible and changing priorities • Attention to detail • Able to work effectively in a team environment • Must be able to lift up to approximately fifty (50) pounds if required • Willingness to perform extra work and assist other personnel/departments are required
