Vision Center Manager L3

Overview Position Summary and what you’ll do: Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, sales analysis, and assessment of economic trends and community needs. Models and enforces proper Customer/Member service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer/Member needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach, ensures compliance with Company policies and legal requirements for the Vision Center, and maintains confidentiality of information and records. Responsibilities Provide supervision and development opportunities for Vision Center Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Consult with and educate Members/Customers selecting eyewear based on needs, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, and maintain confidential information. Perform minor frame repairs and maintain Optical equipment to ensure quality eyewear. Oversee asset protection and safety controls; analyze reports; implement and monitor action plans to improve performance; participate in safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders; align plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; set goals and measure progress. Promote Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions; provide direction and guidance on applying policies in business processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards; support the company mission and values and drive a culture of belonging and accountability. Collaborate to attract, develop, and retain talent; create opportunities for all associates to thrive; communicate with impact and energy to motivate and influence. Demonstrate integrity and ethical conduct; model Walmart values; strive to be a regenerative company by supporting associates, customers, members, and the community. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications – Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience; High school diploma or equivalent; Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Compensation and Benefits The hourly wage range is $38.50 - $50.00 per hour. The actual rate meets or exceeds the minimum wage for the location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and location-based adjustments where applicable.
