Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantLHH is seeking a detail-oriented temporary to hire staff accountant with a strong accounting foundation and experience gained through public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and looking to further develop their accounting career in a collaborative environment. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in the Bellevue, WA office.Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.Reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany accounts.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Prepare audit schedules and serve as a point of contact for external auditors.Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions as needed.Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.Experience supporting audits and managing account reconciliations.Combination of public accounting and private industry experience is a plus.Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Pay Details: $37.00 to $39.00 per hourSearch managed by: Brittany Cona Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
