Cook (Part-Time) Location: Concord, NC Pay: $16 – $19 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible Shifts (Morning or Evening) Includes weekend rotation Please indicate your preferred shift and availability in your application. Position Summary The Part-Time Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for clients and staff while ensuring kitchen operations remain efficient, safe, and compliant with food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus Ensure food meets quality, portion, and presentation standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Adjust recipes and quantities based on census and needs Accommodate special dietary requirements as directed Complete required logs (temperature checks, cleaning schedules, etc.) Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff Participate in required trainings and maintain certifications Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience Previous cooking or food service experience preferred Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment ServSafe certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and time management Ability to follow instructions accurately Team-oriented with strong communication skills Positive, professional attitude Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment Why Join Pyramid Healthcare?
