Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller Jobot is hiring a hands‑on accounting leader to scale our finance operations and help drive our continued growth as Assistant Controller. Job Details Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year Remote – preference for candidates local to Orange County for in‑person Operations Strategy Meetings. Responsibilities Lead daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities. Drive accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members while establishing accountability and performance standards. Review and approve accounting transactions, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability. Partner with leadership on financial reporting, audits, compliance requirements, and operational initiatives that support company growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or people management responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational accounting functions. Experience working within ERP systems; advanced proficiency with Excel. Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Preferred CPA designation. NetSuite experience. Demonstrated success improving close processes, accounting accuracy, automation, or operational efficiencies. Benefits Competitive compensation structure with quarterly and annual bonuses.
