The General Counsel will oversee all legal functions related to our multifamily real‑estate operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while minimizing risk. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex legal issues, advise on real estate transactions, and collaborate with various departments to drive the company’s strategic initiatives. The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of job duties generally expected of an Accounting Executive:

JOB DUTIES

Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s multifamily real‑estate objectives. Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to real estate development, leasing, and property management. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with property acquisitions, financing, and operations. Transaction Support: Provide legal support for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and financing agreements. Litigation Management: Oversee any litigation or disputes involving the company, collaborating with outside counsel as needed. Corporate Governance: Manage corporate governance matters, including board meetings, minutes, and compliance documentation. Policy Development: Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance within the organization. Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters relevant to multifamily real estate, including fair housing laws and lease agreements. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, including development, finance, and property management, to promote legal and ethical business practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
