Senior Tax Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Opportunity
Our growing financial services client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to support tax compliance, preparation, and review functions. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys working independently, collaborating with clients and team members, and handling a variety of complex tax engagements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Research tax issues and apply appropriate solutions
- Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related questions
- Assist with reviewing work, supporting team members, and sharing technical knowledge
- Maintain organized documentation and workpapers
- Stay current on tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Support special projects and assist during peak tax seasons
Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Experience preparing complex tax returns
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- Experience with tax and accounting software is a plus
