Medical Assistant - Medical ReceptionistAnnapolis, Maryland Pay From: $18 per hourMUST: Experienced Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist2 plus years of experience as a Medical AssistantExperience work on EMR; knowledge of Epic highly preferredStrong experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizationsExperience handling and conducting high amounts of callsStrong verbal and written communication skillsMedical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical AssistantExperience with Phlebotomy highly preferredSpanish and English speaking highly preferredDUTIES: Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Triage patientsPrepare medical recordsRoom patientsProvide clinical helpWelcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiriesOptimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephoneKeeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delaysComforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception areaEnsures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient recordsMaintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial informationPerform data entry and processingSchedule appointmentsMaintain medical records*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
