Fall 2026 NURS 310 Section 1 Med/Surg I Lecture (3 units), Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Program Location: Moraga, CA Open Date: 2026-03-30 Description Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Program, taught NURS 310 Med/Surg I Nursing Theory. The faculty member will provide leadership and coordination to ensure instructional work fosters student success with supportive teaching methods. They will incorporate evidence-based practice and professional roles in meeting patient care needs and student learning outcomes, and develop and ensure the quality of the course that supports evaluation of student competencies. The position is teaching across two clinical sections. Responsibilities Lead and manage instructional work and content assigned. Ensure all related program policies are followed and adhere to accreditation standards and the California Nurse Practice Act standards. Maintain curricular and program requirements in accordance with national accreditation standards and college policies. Provide leadership and coordination to design activities that foster student success. In collaboration with leaders and other faculty, develop and ensure the quality of the course. Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years of experience. Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas. Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Three years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators. Experience in using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree. Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific experience in an area of specialty. Experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
