EP Lab Technologist

Overview UHS Wilson Medical Center is hiring an EP Lab Technologist to support the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This role provides technical and clinical support for interventional and non-interventional cardiac procedures and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the Cath/EP Lab team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Primary Details Department/Unit: Electrophysiology Lab, UHS Wilson Medical Center Work Shift: Day Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities Provides technical support for all Cath Lab procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions. Provides technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, for procedures including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions. Operates advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures. Ensures proper safety standards and radiation safety practices are followed. Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary. Performs quality assurance checks on equipment. Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures. Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems. Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of Cath Lab procedures. Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
