Medical Assistant

Role Overview

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support and clinical assistance in a healthcare setting. This position requires a blend of skills to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the facility.
• Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting healthcare providers during procedures.
• Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries effectively.
• Assist with laboratory procedures and maintain medical supply inventory.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance patient care and improve service delivery.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in medical assisting is preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Working Environment
