Production Supervisor

Responsible for the management and coordination of the production team on the assigned shift to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety, and productivity. Leads key production initiatives such as safety, lean manufacturing programs, training, and other production-related activities as assigned.

Required Education BS degree in Engineering strongly preferred with 1-2 years of co-op experience in a manufacturing setting, or a HS diploma.

Required Experience Five (5) years of manufacturing experience and two (2) years in a Production Supervisor (or equivalent) role. Must possess a strong drive, demonstrating results-driven leadership to achieve desired outcomes and objectives. Must possess a desire to receive mentorship and development for future opportunities in manufacturing leadership or process improvement leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations (such as federal and state labor laws, EPA, OSHA, and food safety) needed. Organization skills and willingness to assume accountability for plant practices required. Results-driven leadership, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. Ability to build, coach, and motivate personnel, while holding employees accountable for results. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic mechanical aptitude required. Position requires hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment. Training will be provided. Ability to demonstrate leadership skills such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling, and communicating. Continuous improvement oriented. Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language. Experience with RedZone and Ignition preferred. Experience with SAP ERP a plus.
