Location: Jeffersonville, IN

Pay: $26.00 per hour, pay increase every 6 months, up to $35.18

Shift: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM- 10:00 PM

NESCO is looking for a CNC Machinist with experience setting up and operating both manual and CNC machine tools. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing manufacturer where your technical skills and attention to detail will make a real impact. Our client is looking for YOU!

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, boring machines, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T to manufacture precision parts.
• Select the appropriate CNC programs and machine parts to exact specifications.
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Choose cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining performance.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Complete production documentation, inspection records, and job paperwork.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and identify equipment requiring repair.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent technical training with internship experience.
• Ability to set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Solid shop math and mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable using computers and manufacturing software.
• Ability to pass a technical machining assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school, machining apprenticeship, or formal technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and advanced shop mathematics.
