Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Job Summary Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance. The Compliance Specialistsupports the administration, implementation, maintenance, andcontinuous improvement of university-wide compliance programs andinitiatives. This position assists with program operations,training, communications, reporting, documentation, datamanagement, stakeholder support, and assessment activities relatedto assigned compliance programs, including the Clery Act, ProgramsServing Minors, and the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA)program. This role also supports digital compliance tools, departmental webresources, and policy maintenance. The Compliance Specialistexercises independent judgment within established guidelines,collaborates with university stakeholders, maintainscross-functional knowledge across assigned program areas, andcontributes to the effectiveness, sustainability, and continuousimprovement of compliance programs across the institution, with thecapacity to adapt and assume responsibility for evolving complianceneeds. Responsibilities Assist in the administration, implementation, maintenance, andcontinuous improvement of assigned compliance and risk managementprograms and initiatives, including Clery, Programs Serving Minors(including registration software management, procedural support,and registration follow-ups), RoPA, and other institutionalcompliance activities Coordinate, develop, maintain, and deliver compliance-relatedtraining materials, communications, educational resources, andawareness initiatives to support program requirements andstakeholder engagement Maintain compliance-related records, documentation, reports,files, supporting materials, departmental websites, and policylibrary resources in accordance with university requirements,regulatory expectations, and established procedures Collect, maintain, review, and support compliance-related data,reporting activities, metrics, assessments, and program trackingefforts to support operational effectiveness anddecision-making Provide guidance, assistance, and customer support to faculty,staff, students, and program participants regardingcompliance-related processes, procedures, software platforms,requirements, resources, and general operational needs Monitor and research regulatory developments, emergingcompliance requirements, and risk trends related to assignedprogram areas to support program updates Coordinate and support site visits, reviews, monitoringactivities, and follow-up efforts, while identifying opportunitiesfor operational improvement and enhancement of complianceprocesses, training, and program resources Support special projects, program development activities,assessments, institutional policy or code of conduct reviews, andcross-functional initiatives, while performing other compliance,risk management, and administrative duties as assigned to supportprogram operations, managerial functions, and universityobjectives Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Three (3) or more years of related work experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of University, Board of Regents, and other standardsgoverning higher education institutions and requirements. Proposed Salary $22.36 - $24.04 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
