Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for fragile infants.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patient conditions and respond to immediate needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and other critical indicators continuously.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate families on neonatal care and support during hospital stays.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
• Must have current BLS certification and NRP certification.
• Ability to work 7:00 pm to 7:30 am shift.
• Demonstrate strong neonatal assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Prior experience in a high-acuity NICU environment preferred.
