You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) Project Manager at this level is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex, and high-profile technology and business initiatives across the organization. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies while ensuring adherence to enterprise technology standards, governance practices, cyber security requirements, and other applicable policies. This role collaborates with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders on a routine basis. Additionally, this role provides guidance and mentorship to project team members and less experienced project managers.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeads large, complex, high-profile technology projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.Develops and manages comprehensive project plans, resource forecasts, schedules, budgets, dependencies, and implementation strategies for highly visible initiativesCoordinates and leads cross-functional project teams consisting of business, technology, operations, and vendor partners to achieve project objectivesManages multiple workstreams within assigned projects while ensuring alignment of deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectationsProactively identifies, assesses, and manages complex project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, driving resolution and escalation activities as neededEnsures compliance with enterprise technology standards, cyber security requirements, risk management practices, governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations throughout the project lifecycleLeads project governance activities, including project reviews, stage-gate approvals, executive status reporting, and audit-related documentationServes as the primary point of contact for project sponsors, business leaders, and technology stakeholders, providing clear communication regarding project status, risks, key decisions, and milestonesPartners with architecture, information security, infrastructure, development, and risk teams to address technical, operational, and compliance requirementsOversees testing, implementation, change management, training, and transition-to-support activities to ensure successful project adoption and operational readinessProvides leadership and direction to project teams, facilitating collaboration, accountability, and effective decision-making throughout project executionResolves complex delivery challenges involving competing priorities, resource constraints, stakeholder concerns, and project interdependenciesIdentifies opportunities to improve project delivery processes, governance practices, reporting capabilities, and project management methodologiesServe as a resource and mentor for less experienced project managers and project team members, sharing best practices and project management expertiseThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field and six (6) years of project management experienceOr High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of project management experienceExperience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, and executive summariesExperience managing technology-related initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups and cross-functional teamsExperience supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory initiativesPreferencesApplicable certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), etc.)Experience in banking and/or financial servicesExperience managing infrastructure, application development, cyber security, and/or enterprise technology initiativesExperience working within regulatory and/or governance-driven environmentsSkills and CompetenciesAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to identify risks and develop practical mitigation strategiesAbility to interpret and apply organizational policies, procedures, and technology requirementsBroad understanding of enterprise technology environments, infrastructure, applications, data management, and cyber security practicesDemonstrated ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced and changing environmentDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing prioritiesFamiliarity with project portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)Strong analytical and organizational skillsStrong facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skillsStrong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practicesStrong verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of technology governance frameworks, risk management practices, and cyber security standardsWorking knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery methodologiesPosition TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
