Position: Bakery Mechanic Location: Orlando Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor What You’ll Do Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and systems issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Safety First: Promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures and addressing any hazards promptly. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. What We’re Looking For Experience: Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems maintenance, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment. Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Technical Skills: Knowledge of some or all of the following is a benefit, but not required: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) HVAC/Refrigeration Welding Boilers Electrical skills Computer skills Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable with walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching. Self-Starter: A proactive attitude and the drive to learn independently and take initiative.
