Clinical Technologist Trainee, 3rd Shift Drug Testing Extractions - Wet Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Technologist Trainee for third-shift drug testing extraction work in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This entry-level position offers full training for new graduates and involves specimen processing, instrument operation, and quality control in a wet chemistry laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen quality and acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents, controls, and perform quality control documentation
- Report accurate test results timely and maintain safe work environment with appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational skills
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour plus shift differential
