Press Brake Operator

Job Description Position Title: Press Brake Operator Wage: $23-$25/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:15pm-1:15am Monday-Thursday QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join a manufacturing team in New Berlin, WI. This position is responsible for setting up and operating brake press equipment to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to customer specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts. This is an associate to hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Press Brake Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual brake press machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision measuring tools
• Select appropriate tooling and perform machine adjustments as needed
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines

Press Brake Operator Requirements:

• Previous brake press operation experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and sheet metal forming
• Experience using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Preferred experience with CNC brake presses
• Preferred manufacturing or metal fabrication background
• Preferred forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
