Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Host!

The Host will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves greeting guests, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, providing information about hotel services and local attractions, and responding to guest inquiries and requests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
• Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of guest bookings and payments.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest rooms are ready for occupancy.
• Monitor and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and guest areas.
• Uphold hotel policies and procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure guests have a seamless experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to routinely, stand and walk for long periods of time; may be required to sit for long periods of time; use hands and fingers repetitively; view computer screens for long periods of time; use office equipment, including a telephone; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch and frequently required to walk, climb stairs, talk and hear.
• May be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
