FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. You will research and approve funding documents in Navy ERP. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) interpret appropriation laws, financial regulations and policies; 2) perform data analytics; 3) provide financial advice and guidance to external customers; 4) perform financial reporting and auditing; 5) provide training. Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
