The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on Litigation and Labor & Employment. This pivotal role involves driving the management of the organization's entire litigation portfolio, with a significant emphasis on labor and employment matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of a wide range of issues, including commercial disputes, general liability, personal injury, and intellectual property litigation. Key responsibilities also include enhancing operational excellence through the refinement of HR compliance policies, providing strategic legal support for workplace investigations, and ensuring compliance with a variety of employment laws. The role demands a professional with a Juris Doctor degree, an active bar license, and at least 7 years of legal experience, ideally with a background in both top-tier law firm training and in-house counsel work. Applicants for this role at the company should possess a deep expertise in labor and employment law, particularly in the areas of performance management, accommodations, discipline, and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. Strong people management skills are essential, as is the ability to support operational business units and balance legal risk with business priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience in building legal infrastructure, managing outside counsel, and leading risk and compliance personnel. Exceptional communication, relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence senior executives are also key.
