Analytics Product Owner: AI & BI Platform Leader

The Analytics Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for a robust portfolio of data, analytics, and AI products within the AI and BI Center of Enablement. This role leads the discovery of business needs and translates them into actionable product backlogs that empower our internal customers. They will support and drive the evolution of key enterprise products, including the Self‑Service Toolkit, Tableau Cloud, the Enterprise Reporting Portal, Conversational Data Intelligence, and more. Day to Day Product Vision & Roadmap: Identify and analyze gaps between current data/AI capabilities and desired business outcomes, documenting requirements for complex, cross‑functional projects across the C4E portfolio. Platform Ownership & Governance: Act as the strategic owner for enterprise visualization platforms, particularly Tableau Cloud, and define and enforce governance, architecture, security, user enablement, and performance at scale. Solution Design & Prototyping: Analyze data sources, metadata frameworks, and user requirements to design and propose solutions for reporting portals, conversational data interfaces, and self‑service BI tools. Deep Technical Expertise: Maintain expert knowledge of enablement products such as the Self‑Service Toolkit, Enterprise Reporting Portal, and Conversational Data Intelligence, while balancing a deep technical understanding of Google Cloud Platform services, BigQuery, and Dataplex (Knowledge Catalog). Architectural Alignment: Maintain technical and architectural understanding of data products and metadata management, especially at interfaces with internal systems and business processes. Stakeholder Empowerment: Collaborate directly with business partners and stakeholders as a trusted advisor, enabling them to implement BI initiatives and AI/ML experiments within governed environments. Strategic Narrative: Translate complex data, BI, and AI concepts into business narratives for stakeholders, and conversely, translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for engineering and enablement teams. Validation & Quality: Create and validate data quality test scripts, BI platform performance metrics, visualisation accuracy scenarios, and user acceptance testing for the C4E portfolio. Backlog Management: Create and prioritise features and user stories, conveying vision and requirements for reporting portals, conversational interfaces, platform governance, and AI enablement products to the development team. What We Need From You Product Ownership Excellence: Advanced knowledge of product ownership within a data, BI, or AI context, with a proficient understanding of modern data architecture, systems, and enablement frameworks. Enterprise Platform Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, and BigQuery, including experience managing, governing, and scaling Tableau Cloud as an enterprise platform. Data & Metadata Expertise: Expertise in SQL for complex data analysis and a strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and metadata management/cataloguing (specifically Dataplex/Knowledge Catalog). AI & Emerging Tech: Familiarity with or a strong desire to support AI/ML initiatives, including Conversational Data Intelligence, Vertex AI, and Gemini Enterprise. Complex Problem Solving: Ability to understand highly complex data and technical problems and build scalable, cross‑functional solutions that promote self‑service. Storytelling & Communication: Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to craft clear narratives that translate technical information into business language and distil business needs into technical requirements. Collaborative Leadership: Ability to collaborate with technical SMEs (Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, Platform Admins) to deliver large, cross‑functional projects and initiatives. Agile Proficiency: Experience working in Agile or, ideally, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments. Proven Track Record: Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms is required. Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Computer Information Systems) or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience. SAFe PO/PM certification preferred. SAFe Agilist certification preferred. Travel 10% Location Our hybrid work structure expects three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may adjust with evolving business needs. Salary & Benefits The salary range for this role is $106,000 to $125,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay.
