Contracts ManagerThe contracts manager will have the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and help build, improve, and modernize contract management processes across a growing business.The Contracts Manager will oversee the administration and coordination of construction-related contracts, proposals, vendor agreements, and procurement documentation across multiple business units.This individual will partner with leadership, internal stakeholders, purchasing teams, vendors, and outside legal counsel to support efficient contract execution while helping minimize organizational risk.This role is ideal for a highly organized contracts professional who understands construction contract language and can balance legal and operational considerations with practical business needs. The successful candidate will also help identify opportunities to improve workflows through technology, and automation.Key Responsibilities:Manage construction-related contracts and procurement agreements throughout the contract lifecycleDevelop, maintain, and enhance contract, proposal, and vendor agreement templatesReview proposed contract revisions and coordinate with outside counsel regarding legal and business implicationsPartner with leadership, purchasing, vendor management, and internal business teams to improve contract workflowsSupport contract negotiations while maintaining appropriate controls and protecting the organization's interestsHelp ensure contract terms are commercially reasonable, practical, and aligned with business objectivesImprove the efficiency and consistency of contract review, approval, administration, and execution processesIdentify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology within the contract management functionSupport multiple operating businesses and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersQualifications:At least 5 years of experience managing construction contracts, procurement agreements, or related contract processesWorking knowledge of construction contract terms and their implications in Virginia, Washington, DC, and MarylandExperience supporting contracts from initial review through negotiation, execution, and ongoing administrationStrong contract analysis, organization, and attention-to-detail skillsAdvanced Microsoft Word skills, including the ability to review and revise negotiated contract languageAbility to communicate effectively with executives, attorneys, vendors, and cross-functional business partnersComfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with contract automation, AI tools, or contract lifecycle management technology is a plusAdditional Details:Full-time, exempt positionHybrid schedule with two required in-office days per weekPerks:Direct access to executive leadership and key decision-makersHigh level of autonomy and visibilityAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
