Business Systems Analyst V - IT Asset Manager SME (Onsite, Washington, DC)

About the Role
Join Leidos as an IT Asset Manager - Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. This high-impact, onsite position plays a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of IT assets across a dynamic government environment. Serve as the go-to expert on asset management standards, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficient processes. Responsibilities

- Manage and update IT asset inventories across DOJ customer locations, ensuring comprehensive asset visibility and compliance
- Track, assign, and reconcile assets within DOJEMP systems (AssetTrack, ServiceNow HAM, APM, Sunflower)
- Create and maintain detailed Excel trackers, audit documentation, and supporting files for asset lifecycle events
- Oversee documentation uploads to ServiceNow, APM, and Sunflower databases, in line with customer procedures
- Lead scheduled and ad-hoc asset audits, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities
- Coordinate with Federal Leads on warehouse, image lab, and stockroom spare asset management
- Recommend and implement improvements to inventory workflows and documentation standards
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, engineering, and endpoint teams on asset lifecycle planning
- Support leadership with data-driven reporting, metrics, dashboards, and trend analysis
- Perform onsite physical asset management tasks, including lifting, tagging, transferring, and retiring equipment

Required Skills and Experience

- BS degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or IT operations experience
- Expert proficiency with asset tracking systems (ServiceNow, AssetTrack, APM, Sunflower, or similar platforms)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience managing digital documentation (Adobe PDF)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data management and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to conduct physical inventories and manage IT hardware
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional team engagement and executive interactions
- Experience in federal agency or regulated government settings
- Eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Department of Justice components
- Active Public Trust clearance
- ITIL Foundation or ITAM certifications (CHAMP, CITAM)
