Clerical Assistant

Clerical Assistant Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to assist everyone who enters the office. Working knowledge of MS Word for Windows, and E-Mail Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Clerical experience preferred.

Supervisor: Principal

Job Goal: To help maintain a positive, productive and safe school environment by assisting the Staff, students, parents, and Administration as needed.

Schedule: Determined by the building Principal.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Answer the telephone
• Answer the doorbell
• Welcome/Interact with parents in the office
• Process work orders and purchase orders
• Locate students i.e. Early Dismissal, etc.
• Make calls for students
• Get messages to staff (phone, written, intercom)
• Makes copies for staff and students
• Locate forms for students
• Direct student questions, (i.e. where to put responses to PTO flyers, etc.)
• File folders, etc.
• Open mail
• Keep track of permit file, incoming notes, etc.
• Type memos etc. as needed
• Complete forms (register changes, Staff attendance, etc.)
• Any additional work the Principal requires

Salary $19/ hour No benefits
