Job Description Responsibilities Managing a team of 3–6 DevOps and Subject Matter Specialists. Conducting performance reviews for team members and defining annual performance ratings. Holding periodic one‑on‑one meetings with team members to provide ongoing feedback. Hiring new personnel as required. Assigning tasks to other team members. Coaching and mentoring team members, conducting periodic team meetings. Providing technical assistance and training for the team members. Providing guidance to NCR Voyix Customer Technical Specialists on deployment, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of NCR Voyix software. Leading troubleshooting and analysis sessions to identify and resolve problems reported from customers or the internal NCR Voyix lab. Providing guidance on installation, configuration and maintenance of the Emerald Solution on customer sites. Participating in acceptance of configuration releases for customers. Providing guidance for configuration of connections to NCR Voyix Cloud Services. Documenting suggested custom deployment procedures according to specific customer lab requirements. Providing consulting on setup of the environment, installation and configuration of Windows components and third‑party frameworks utilized by the Emerald Solution. Providing consulting and validating customer network and security, explaining Emerald hardening requirements. Providing consulting on deployment automation of NCR Voyix software – Emerald POS and Universal Loyalty Promotion Engine (ULPE) Deployment Components. Guiding customers during validation of SQL database setup and conducting best practices of SQL database configuration for Emerald Point of Sale. Communicating documentation of Emerald POS software releases and configurations to customers. Helping with documentation of technical procedures related to the installation and deployment of the Emerald Software suite. Aiding in the creation and hardening of the POS image. Reporting lab status and system installation progress to project managers and applicable stakeholders. Assigning lab management tasks to team members. Requesting and approving NCR Voyix software version and configuration updates in the EMC Emerald Professional Services labs. Managing physical and virtual NCR Voyix labs, deploying NCR Voyix software utilizing best practices of automated CI/CD. Creating Azure cloud environments and maintaining them with Ansible using Jenkins Pipelines for subject‑matter experts, QA and support. Utilizing deployment tools such as batch scripts and PowerShell scripts to schedule and execute software deployment on physical NCR Voyix labs. Leading the team effort on creating PowerShell scripts to support deployment automation and monitoring of the deployment process. Documenting lab management processes. Ensuring DevOps and subject‑matter experts support and aid QA testers during test and validation of customer‑specific configurations. Documenting procedures and guides for the customer technical team on the deployments of NCR Voyix applications such as Emerald, Advanced Marketing Solutions (AMS) and micro‑services. Permitting full‑time telecommuting; the job can be performed anywhere in the US. Requiring travel up to 10 % of the time domestically and internationally (Canada). Requiring supervision of three direct employees. Job Requirements Earned a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology in Electronics and Communications, or a related technical field plus six (6) years of experience in a technical software occupation. Six (6) years of experience with hardening and security of Windows OS. Six (6) years of experience in deployment of distributed software solutions in cloud and on‑premises environments. Six (6) years of experience in customer consulting. Six (6) years of experience in leading technical teams. Six (6) years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, tuning, and troubleshooting. Six (6) years of experience producing SQL queries. Six (6) years of experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Six (6) years of experience in automation, monitoring and scripting of deployment processes. Six (6) years of experience with message brokers, such as RabbitMQ. Six (6) years of experience in architecture of distributed software solutions. Six (6) years of experience providing technical directions for problem resolution to customers and third‑party vendors. Six (6) years of experience in software delivery processes. Six (6) years of experience authoring technical specifications and implementation instructions. Six (6) years of experience in software subjects in the retail industry, with domain expertise in POS and loyalty systems. Six (6) years of experience in integration of distributed retail software solutions deployed in cloud and on‑premises environments. Six (6) years of experience with web services APIs.
