Senior Technical Consultant

About the Role The Principal Financial Technical Consultant collaborates with Workday’s implementation projects to design, develop, and maintain integrations across multiple finance domains. Responsibilities Work with implementation projects, focusing on strategic and complex financials. Develop and maintain integrations across key Finance domains, including Banking, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Projects, and Supplier Accounts. Provide subject‑matter expertise on Workday Financial Management integrations, advising on strategy, design patterns, and impact of new features. Collaborate closely with the client’s project team to ensure successful deployment of Workday integration products, tools, and services. Apply knowledge of service‑oriented architecture, ERP financial integration patterns, phased implementation methodologies, and integration technologies. Act as a consultative partner and advisor to clients on integration strategy and architecture. Basic Qualifications 5+ years implementing integration solutions with ERP software. 5+ years financial software application experience. 4+ years of consulting experience. Strong knowledge of service‑oriented architecture concepts. Experience with EDI, Web Services, SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technologies. Familiarity with Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, NetSuite, Taleo, or other SaaS and on‑premise ERP systems. Nice to Have Advanced skills with EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or middleware. Advanced knowledge of Workday integration technologies (EIB, Document Transformation, Workday Studio). Active Workday Implementer® Certification or Workday PRO Certification. Participation in at least 3 full life‑cycle software implementations. Leadership experience in a software, system, or application implementation. Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience leading an integration workstream and mentoring integration consultants. Strong collaboration across diverse, fast‑paced teams. Requires an in‑office hybrid/flexible work environment for team collaboration. About You Demonstrated integration experience in Financial Management domains. Ability to consult as an advisory or architect on customer implementations. Strong communication skills with all customer/prospect leadership levels. Experience architecting and building integration solutions. Managing small teams of integration consultants and mentoring them. Coordination of deliverables to meet client timelines. High customer satisfaction through effective integration delivery. Lead project teams through discovery and scoping phases. Engage appropriately in the sales cycle to scope integration projects. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience – preferably in Finance or Accounting. Benefits & Compensation The annualized base salary ranges are $131,500–$197,300 USD for the primary location (USA.CA.Pleasanton). Additional US locations range $111,000–$197,300 USD. Colorado ranges $117,000–$175,400 USD. Compensation may include bonus plans and stock grants depending on business need. Flexible Work Our approach enables hybrid work: you will spend at least 50% of each quarter in the office or at client/prospect sites, with the remaining time remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining collaboration.
