Overview Milling Operator – Execute Precision Surface Preparation for Commercial Paving Projects Company: BMG Paving Inc. The Opportunity You will play a vital role in the site preparation process by operating heavy milling machinery to remove asphalt and concrete surfaces. This position offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial projects where your technical skill directly impacts the quality of the final paved surface. You will join a focused field team that values efficiency and precision in every pass. How You Will Make An Impact Operate milling machines to remove pavement surfaces to specified depths and grades. Monitor equipment performance and fluid levels to ensure consistent uptime on the job site. Coordinate with truck drivers to manage the seamless loading and hauling of milled tailings. Execute precise cuts around manholes, curbs, and other sensitive utility structures. Communicate effectively with the ground crew to maintain a safe and productive work zone. Maintain a clean and organized machine to prevent mechanical failure and ensure safety. Required Qualifications & Experience Experience operating cold planers or asphalt milling machines. Proven ability to interpret grade stakes and follow specific project depth requirements. Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety protocols and job site hazards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor field environment on a temporary project basis. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial paving crews. Familiarity with various milling drum widths and specialized cutting teeth configurations. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor field adjustments or troubleshooting. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation with a per diem provided for eligible assignments. Bi-weekly pay cycle for reliable and consistent earnings.
