Senior Associate, Data Scientist – Card Finance Innovation Team Data is at the center of everything we do. As a Data Scientist on the Card Finance Innovation Team, you will help power the core forecasting engine that enables Card Finance to navigate monthly outlooks, annual budgets, and long‑term strategic planning at a Fortune 200 scale. Responsibilities Partner with cross‑functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver product customers love. Leverage a broad stack of technologies—including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark—to reveal insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data. Build machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation phases. Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals using excellent interpersonal skills. Ideal Candidate Innovative – research and evaluate emerging technologies and apply state‑of‑the‑art methods. Creative – bring definition to big, undefined problems, ask questions, and share ideas. Technical – comfortable with open‑source languages and developing solutions on cloud platforms. Statistically‑minded – built models, validated them, backtested, and interpreted confusion matrices, ROC curves, clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time‑series, and deep learning. Data guru – retrieve, combine, and analyze data from diverse sources and structures. Basic Qualifications Currently holding or pursuing one of: a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field plus two years of data analytics experience, or a Master’s Degree (or MBA with a quantitative concentration) in a quantitative field. Preferred Qualifications Master’s or PhD in a STEM field. Experience with AWS. At least two years of experience in Python, Scala, or R. At least two years of experience with machine learning. At least two years of experience with SQL.
