Psychiatrist

The MD Psychiatrist will provide physician-level psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, clinical oversight, and medication management for patients receiving care through Kadima's advanced psychiatric treatment programs. This role includes supervising a Nurse Practitioner, working in the ketamine clinic, overseeing TMS treatments, and providing psychiatric medication management through both in-person and virtual visits. The ideal candidate is clinically thoughtful, collaborative, compassionate, and interested in advancing access to evidence-informed interventional psychiatry. There may also be opportunities to support clinical research trials depending on the physician's interests, qualifications, availability, and study needs. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management for patients seen in person and virtually. Supervise and collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner, including case consultation, clinical guidance, treatment planning support, and safety oversight. Provide physician-level oversight in the ketamine clinic, including patient appropriateness reviews, dosing considerations, treatment response monitoring, and adverse-event support. Oversee TMS treatment planning, clinical monitoring, response review, and treatment-course adjustments in collaboration with TMS Operators and clinical staff. Support safe, compliant delivery of Spravato care in alignment with REMS requirements and clinic protocols. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, TMS staff, administrative team members, and research staff to support coordinated, high-quality care. Maintain timely, accurate documentation of evaluations, medication management visits, treatment plans, safety assessments, and clinical decisions. Participate in clinical research support opportunities as appropriate and available. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Active, unrestricted California medical license in good standing. Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry required. Active DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with state and federal requirements. Experience providing psychiatric medication management for patients with complex or treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions. Experience with ketamine, Spravato, TMS, interventional psychiatry, or treatment-resistant mood disorders strongly preferred. Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
