Data Validation Analyst


We are seeking a highly skilled Data Validation Analyst to support our Business Intelligence & Analytics team. In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out routine, process-based tasks that support the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical business data. Your strong communication skills and ability to present findings and recommendations will set you apart! Roles & Responsibilities:

• Performs data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to detect and report data inconsistencies. Identify, assess, and document data quality issues and their impact on business operations.
• Determines root causes of data discrepancies and recommend short and long-term solutions.
• Coordinates with data engineering and analytics teams to verify dataset accuracy and completeness.
• Assists with creating and maintaining data dashboards and basic reports to display data quality trends and metrics.
• Follows defined data quality processes and contribute to the rollout of governance practices as directed.
• Reviews and creates mapping documents to support ingestion of new data sources.
• Stays current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and methodologies.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis
• Proficiency in SQL to perform data validation, queries and analysis. Alteryx experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Self-starter with an innate curiosity and drive to understand data.
