Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Practice at the Top of Your License While Making a Difference in Patient Care We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you will provide direct clinical pharmacy services while also supporting pharmacy operations that ensure safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital. After an initial training period, pharmacists work in both clinical and operational roles, with the majority of time spent providing clinical care. You'll serve as an integral member of the healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize medication therapy, improve patient outcomes, and promote medication safety. Our pharmacists are supported by advanced technology and highly skilled technicians, allowing them to focus on meaningful clinical work and practice at the top of their license. Pay Information $60.50 - $78.91 per hour

• 10k sign-on bonus

Weekend Differential is $1/hr Up to $5k in relocation reimbursement (must be applicable) Schedule Information Full-Time or Part-Time options available Varies Days/Evenings ; Rotating Weekends, Rotating Holidays 8 hour shifts Location: Deaconess Midtown (Evansville, IN), Deaconess Gateway, Deaconess Henderson What You'll Do Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for assigned patient care areas Review and verify medication orders to ensure safe, accurate, and appropriate therapy Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care decisions Complete pharmacotherapy consults and provide medication-related recommendations Educate patients and caregivers on medication therapies and treatment plans Respond to code blue events and other clinical emergencies as needed Perform medication chart reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and improved outcomes Support pharmacy operations through order verification, drug distribution, and IV room product verification Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians during daily departmental operations Contribute to medication safety, quality improvement, and process enhancement initiatives Participate in department and hospital committees Support the development of future pharmacy professionals through student precepting and mentoring opportunities What We\'re Looking For Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Indiana and Kentucky Ability to obtain required licensure within 45 days of employment Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based patient care Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and continuous learning Preferred: Previous hospital pharmacy experience Advanced certifications such as BCPS, BCOP, or other relevant specialty credentials Interest in clinical practice advancement, quality improvement, and professional development What We Offer The opportunity to spend the majority of your time in a direct clinical pharmacy role Advanced technology and pharmacy automation that support efficient, patient-centered care Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams across a variety of patient care settings Opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary rounds, consult services, and clinical decision-making Professional growth through quality improvement projects, process enhancement initiatives, and committee involvement Student precepting and mentorship opportunities that help develop future pharmacy professionals A supportive pharmacy team that values clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement A stable healthcare environment where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes every day A culture built on teamwork, professional growth, respect, and exceptional patient care Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
