Responsibilities

Draw blood samples from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing by labeling and documenting patient information accurately.

Verify patient demographic details and ensure tubes are correctly labeled and signed post-venipuncture to maintain specimen integrity.

Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Provide excellent customer service by creating a trusting environment and clearly explaining procedures to patients.

Perform venipuncture and capillary collections with confidence, demonstrating high-quality phlebotomy skills.

Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, covering multiple locations and flexible hours as needed.

Support a safe, professional environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and organizational standards.

Required Skills

Proven phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.

Excellent organization and attention to detail for accurate specimen collection and documentation.

Basic computer and data entry skills for maintaining records.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; relevant medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, is preferred.

Experience working in a Patient Service Center or similar high-volume settings is highly desirable.

Certificates or licensure in California, Nevada, and Washington are required.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, if applicable.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules across various locations.
