Information Technology Generalist 1

Position Overview IT Generalist 1 – Enterprise Technology Services Office, Conservation and Environment Delivery Center (CEDC). The role is a Tier2 escalation point providing operational support for workstation and end‑user technical issues within CEDC member agencies. Responsibilities Escalate and resolve complex software and hardware problems for CEDC member agencies. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of hardware and software products used by CEDC. Identify issues, determine appropriate escalation paths, and coordinate resolution efforts. Provide user guidance, software and hardware installations, desktop data migration, desktop moves, and printer troubleshooting. Administer on‑site support for standard CEDC hardware, including workstations, laptops, printers, multi‑function devices, modems, and network interface devices. Manage computer accounts, groups, mailboxes, resource accounts, and distribution lists. Qualifications One year of experience as an Information Technology Trainee or Technician (Commonwealth or equivalent federal title); or Three years of experience in application development/maintenance, networking, desktop services, web development or design, or general IT support/administration; or One year of the above experience plus an associate’s degree in any IT field; or Equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Successful completion of a background investigation and compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requirements. Ability to perform essential job functions. Work Schedule Full‑time employment. Regular hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break. Telework: Part‑time telework is available after three months of employment (two days per week), subject to a secured high‑speed internet connection and an approved Pennsylvania location.
