About the Role

The Company is in search of a seasoned CTO/VP of Engineering to spearhead the development of AI-powered applications in the climate finance sector. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading and managing a dynamic engineering team, from the early-stage phase to a more established structure, and will be instrumental in shaping the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of the company's products. This role demands a leader with a strong background in both AI and full-stack engineering, capable of overseeing the design, development, and deployment of applications that integrate AI services. The CTO/VP of Engineering will also be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the products, as well as driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and best practices. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in full-stack web development and AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrating AI/ML services via APIs, a deep understanding of large language model APIs, and experience with modern web stacks and frameworks. Strong system design and architecture skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. While not mandatory, familiarity with financial data and documents, experience with RAG implementations, and a background in fintech or climate tech are preferred qualifications.
