Title: Supervisor, Warehouse Department: Facilities Operations Campus Location: South Campus Employee Classification: POP - Plant Operations Position Type: FT - Regular Grant Funded: No Pay Frequency: Semi-monthly Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $50,500 Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Flexibility is required as the schedule is subject to change basedon department needs. Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remotework Job Summary This role is responsible for supervising campus level warehouseactivities including overseeing and maintaining inventory accuracythrough regular audits, cycle counts, reconciliation with warehousemanagement software, managing stock levels, making recommendationson items to restock, coordinate shipping and receiving, productresearch, pricing, ordering, documentation, warehousing,distribution, inventory, and reporting. This position maintains aclose working relationship with the District Warehouse supervisor,facility operations department, campus leadership and personnel,other campus Warehouse supervisors, and vendors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements* Observes Tarrant County College District (TCCD) and PPD policies,procedures, and guidelines in the performance of warehousefunctions including product research and qualification, price solicitation and shopping, requisition initiation and requiredjustification, order placement and status tracking, order receivingand purchase order closeout, verification of incoming and outgoingshipments, warehouse placement and handling of shipments, andcurrent inventory of warehoused assets Works with facility operations leadership, District leadership,facility managers, campus personnel, Warehouse supervisors, andvendors to identify, research, recommend, and implementefficiencies of operation and purchasing Initiates work orders for warehouse equipment repairs and submitsrecommendations for warehouse activity changes and upgrades andequipment replacement Confers with PPD district leadership to ensure coordination ofwarehouse activities with the activities of other departmentfunctions Works with TCCD Inventory Control Department in the dispositionof used or obsolete assets Participates in an ongoing safety-training program to cover allaspects of the work performed by the facility operations andobserves safety regulations Uses interpersonal skills to communicate with departmentleadership, campus leadership, faculty, support staff, students,and the general public in the performance of duties Participates in a program of quality customer service andcontinuous service improvement throughout the facility operationsas well as a job-skills training program that encourages andmotivates workers to achieve workplace goals Interview and recommend suitable applicants for employment, andcomplete required performance evaluations Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, optimizingwarehouse layout, workflows, and space utilization Maintains accurate inventory levels, conduct stock control,reconcile data, and minimize stockouts and dead stock usingcomputerized warehouse management systems, databases, and otherrelevant software General Supervision and Management Oversees daily work activities, provides training and guidance,monitors performance, and ensures work is completed accurately andefficiently Performs advanced or more complex functional work alongside staffwhile supporting departmental operations and service delivery Provides direct day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff tosupport effective task completion and employee development Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assigned FacilitiesManager *Performs Other Related Tasks as Required The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of thevarious types of work that may be performed. Required Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or 60 college hours in Logistics, BusinessAdministration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field andfive (5) years’ working experience related to the EssentialPerformance Requirements; or any equivalent combination ofeducation and work-related experience One (1) years' working experience supervising (e.g., leadingpeople, processes, programs, or projects that included planning,execution, and monitoring of outcomes) One (1) year’s working experience driving a forklift andoperating a powered Jack Valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable driving record andreliable transportation; ability to successfully complete TCCauthorized driver requirements within the first 90 days ofemployment Preferred Qualifications One (1) year experience with web-based inventory control systemslike WebTMA used to track stock in real-time, monitor inventorylevels, verify counts, order fulfillment, comprehensive reporting,and restocking One (1) year experience using scanning device like a mobiledevised using scanning barcoded inventory items to track assets,and transmit data from inventory to work order Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of procedures and best practices for managing awarehouse Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems,including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentationsoftware Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly whileexhibiting strong attention to detail and organization Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands are varied,and unpredictable in scope and volume Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendation based onpolicy, procedure, practice and existing regulations Ability to delegate work appropriately to team to meet collegeand campus deliverables Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment,fostering a positive and productive workplace culture Ability to analyze data, key performance indicators, and makeinformed decisions to optimize operations Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of this job.
