Bartender

About This Role Vicar's Landing is seeking a professional, friendly, and service-oriented Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service in our dining venues, lounges, and special events. This role is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests, and delivering a hospitality experience that reflects the high standards of our community. Success in this role means providing outstanding service, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for every guest. Must-Have Skills Knowledge of basic bartending techniques, beverage preparation, and bar operations. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to accurately handle member charges, cash transactions, and beverage tracking. Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to obtain Responsible Vendor or alcohol service certification, if required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Nice-to-Have Skills Prior bartending experience in a restaurant, hospitality, private club, resort, country club, or senior living environment. Experience using POS systems and beverage inventory management tools. 12-18 months of related bartending experience preferred. Wine, craft beverage, or mixology knowledge. Education Degree not required if you have relevant skills, training, or experience. How You'll Grow Here Expand your beverage knowledge and hospitality expertise. Develop skills in event service and upscale dining operations. Support training and mentoring of new team members. Take on increased responsibilities during special events and high-volume service periods. Explore advancement opportunities into Bartender II, Lead Bartender, or Dining Services leadership roles. Compensation & Benefits Base Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience, skills, and shift).
