Program Overview Our FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program that leads to a full‑time Diesel & Trailer Technician role. The academy provides four weeks of full‑time classroom training, travel expenses, hotel accommodation, meal stipends, and a weekly paycheck. After the initial phase, participants receive hands‑on training with a Lead Technician and are offered a full‑time position as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic. Key Responsibilities The role includes: Attend four weeks of intensive classroom instruction covering fundamentals of diesel engines and truck repairs. Participate in hands‑on training with experienced technicians. Work as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, providing preventive maintenance and general repairs at customer locations. Maintain personal equipment and tools received during training. Qualifications & Requirements Desire to start a career as a Diesel & Trailer Technician. Willingness and ability to study hard and dedicate four weeks away from home. Maturity level to focus on tasks; this is not a summer camp. Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles. Ability to operate an iPad. High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required). Background checks, driving records checks, pre‑employment drug testing, and physical exam required. Compliance with DOT regulations; must pass DOT‑regulated background screening and physical prior to employment. Current valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining or a DOT physical will be required. Age 21 or older; must hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File. Safe drivers and a 3‑year MVR review are required. Military separation is welcomed. Compensation Hourly pay ranges from $13.70 to $20.53, depending on location and individual qualifications. The base rate may be adjusted within this range based on performance and additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs may be eligible.
