TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: At least 1 year of experience in a PCU setting Description: Prescreen and manager review required. Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be DNU for 6 months. Radius rule applies: 50 miles from the facility. Candidates may not have worked in a full-time, part-time, or PRN capacity with any affiliated facility within the past year. The float pool includes MedSurg, Tele, and PCU units with inpatients. Average patient census in various units varies, including stepdown and med tele units. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4 for PCU and 1:5-6 for MedSurg Tele. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. Common diagnoses include geriatric and orthopedic patients and post-procedural patients. Traveling nurses must be comfortable managing titratable drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin. Charge nurses will not have direct patient assignments. Nurse aides will assist in all settings. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP. Nurses are expected to interpret telemetry strips. Scheduling will be handled by a scheduler, with shifts published six weeks in advance. Flexible scheduling and block scheduling may be accommodated. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Holidays will include travelers in the permanent staff rotation. There is no call or standby requirement. Assignments will be communicated two hours prior to the start of shifts. Scrub color will be solid navy for compliance with dress code guidelines.
