Software Development Engineer, Agentic WorkSpaces Client

Salary: $143,400 - 165,600 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional, non-internship software development experience
• At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• At least 1 year of experience as a Software Development Engineer or in a related occupation
• At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience
• A bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Programming experience in at least one software language
• Preferred: At least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Preferred: A bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Preferred: Experience leading large, fast-moving projects
• Preferred: Strong problem-solving skills and experience addressing ambiguous or undefined challenges
• Preferred: Experience architecting, securing, and operating AWS and client software

• Design, build, and operate customer-facing capabilities across native and web clients
• Develop and run client software across major operating systems and browsers, supporting Amazon WorkSpaces and its users
• Advance client experiences for secure agentic workloads, including enterprise access, permissions, governance, observability, and human oversight
• Work on secure session connectivity, client lifecycle, cross-platform architecture, user experience, performance, software updates, operational telemetry, and integrations for human and agent workflows
• Own features from design through production and collaborate with teams across AWS
• Investigate and resolve complex issues in customer-managed environments
• Maintain high standards for security, reliability, and operational excellence
