Structural Designer

Job Title: Structural Designer Supported industrial projects by developing detailed structural steel and concrete foundation designs using Revit. Work closely with structural engineers, civil designers, and other disciplines in a collaborative, office‑based environment that may transition to a hybrid schedule after onboarding. Job Location & Type Contract to Hire position in Duluth, GA. The role is fully in‑office for the first two months, then can transition to a hybrid schedule. Pay and Benefits Hourly pay range: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour. Responsibilities Develop detailed structural designs and 3‑D models for industrial projects using Revit. Produce and update structural drawings, plans, sections, and details for steel and concrete foundations. Apply structural design principles to ensure safety, integrity, and constructability. Use structural analysis tools such as RISA to support design decisions and verify structural performance. Coordinate with engineers and other design disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall project layouts and models. Review design documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to codes and best practices. Incorporate feedback from project teams and revise designs, models, and drawings as required throughout the lifecycle. Support preparation of documentation for project submissions, permitting, and construction, including drawing packages and calculations. Maintain organized project files, models, and drawings per company standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and best practices. Manage multiple design tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an office setting to resolve design issues and support delivery. Essential Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in Revit for structural or civil design work. 3+ years of experience in a civil, structural, engineering, or construction design environment. Hands‑on experience designing concrete foundations for industrial projects. Hands‑on experience designing structural steel elements for industrial applications. Experience in structural design for industrial projects or facilities. Ability to use structural analysis software such as RISA. Solid understanding of structural design principles and typical industrial facility requirements. Ability to interpret, create, and modify technical drawings and construction documents accurately. Strong attention to detail and precision in modeling, drafting, and documentation. Effective verbal and written communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration. Ability to manage multiple design tasks and deliver work on time in a project‑driven environment. Additional Preferred Experience Background in structural or civil design within industrial build environments. Experience with integrating structural models into broader project workflows. Previous industrial project experience. Experience with RISA or similar structural analysis software. Adaptive to evolving project requirements and feedback. Strong organizational skills for maintaining models, drawings, and documentation. Work Environment The role begins fully in‑office for approximately two months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one onsite day per week with flexibility for remote work).
