Our goal is to work with people and help them enjoy a life that is rich and fulfilling.Position OverviewTurning Leaf Agency is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential group home setting. This is an in person position.Position RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferredValid Connecticut Driver's License requiredMust be insurable through the agency's insurance carrierReliable transportation requiredAbility to pass all required background checks and screeningsMust be able to obtain DDS Medication Certification within the first three months of employmentStrong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all timesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, twist, reach, and assist individuals as neededAbility to safely operate agency vehiclesAbility to respond quickly to emergency situationsRequired TrainingEmployees must successfully complete all required agency and DDS trainings, including but not limited to:CPRFirst AidPMTDDS Medication CertificationOther mandatory trainings as assignedThis position is currently accepting applications.
