DSP Day Program (Per-Diem) - Brooklyn

AHRC New York City is seeking compassionate and dedicated Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our adult day programs. Location : Brooklyn Programs. Job Type : Per-Diem (with potential to become Full-Time with Full Benefits based on performance). Pay Rate : $20 per hour. Responsibilities Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities. The oversight of all safety and health considerations Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience personal of professional working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver services is a plus. Understanding of Person-Centered Planning. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of individuals.
