Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager at Nemacolin will be responsible for leading the accounting team while driving process improvements, automation, and data consolidation across systems. The candidate selected for this role will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and serve as a key resource for internal and external stakeholders.

Essential functions include managing and developing accounting clerks, leading the development of SOPs and internal controls, overseeing month-end close activities, authorizing invoices for payment, implementing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliation processes, managing year-end reporting, serving as primary contact for audit inquiries, reviewing and approving timecards, and leading special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include a BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills, ability to coach, develop, and support team members, and an efficiency-driven mindset with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
