Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Gather monthly sales tax data, review for accuracy, and process payments.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and support month-end close activities.
- Work on ad hoc accounting projects, including streamlining Sage processes and improving inventory controls.
- Support general accounting operations in a full-charge accounting capacity.
- Assist with job costing as needed.
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant Role
- Strong full-charge accounting experience, including month-end responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Knowledge of job costing is a plus.
