About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Medical Excellence for its US BBU. This pivotal leadership role is focused on establishing and driving a vision for medical affairs that enhances the quality, consistency, and impact of scientific engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic framework for digital medical strategy and innovation, leading the adoption of new technologies and operating models to improve scientific exchange and access to medical information. They will also define a customer-centric engagement model, oversee scientific communications, and lead the strategy for medical informatics, including the use of data and analytics to support medical teams. The role involves a strong emphasis on governance, quality, and compliance, and the ideal candidate will have a background in advanced scientific, clinical, education, or business degrees, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. Essential skills and experience for this role at the company include a deep understanding of the drug development process, scientific exchange principles, and compliance frameworks in the US. The candidate should have a proven track record in digital and omni-channel medical and analytics, as well as expertise in CRM and insights systems, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Desirable experience includes a background in building medical capabilities and MSL organizations, scientific training design, and experience in establishing impact metrics and dashboards. The role requires a leader with a high level of ethical standards, dedication to compliance, and a strong focus on patient-centricity and quality. The Head of Medical Excellence will also be accountable for developing a high-performing team and fostering a culture of performance, development, and diversity.
