Assembler

This position will be responsible for assembling various manufacturing products on the production floor to meet customer specifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities include laminating, fastening, and assembling products using a staple gun, nail gun, screw, folding or packing cartons, stacking or strapping goods, using a hand truck to organize work area and or move material, recording product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records, meeting all company safety policies, meeting all quality and efficiency standards, performing sensory quality control checks to verify appearance code date, seal, and case, making up and folding cartons, closing cartons, and stacking them on a pallet for transfer, and special projects and assignments as business dictates. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle or feel. The employee frequently talks or hears. The employee occasionally reaches with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment includes noise levels that can be loud, regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibrations.

Skills and qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, must be 18 years of age, experience reading blueprints preferred, experience in miscellaneous assembly a plus, ability to work a flexible schedule, ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape, ability to work in a fast paced environment, team-oriented and self-directed.
