St. Michael Catholic School - Part-Time Library Paraprofessional

Position Overview
St. Michael Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and flexible Part-Time Library Paraprofessional to support our school library. This role is essential in fostering a love of reading, supporting student learning, and maintaining an organized and welcoming library environment for students and staff.

Hours: 25 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the library’s collection of books and instructional materials
• Assist students individually and in small groups with locating and using library resources
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support literacy and classroom instruction
• Coordinate and manage the annual school book fair
• Support daily library operations, including check-in/check-out and shelving
• Respond to requests from students and staff in a timely and helpful manner

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers and basic library systems
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of students and staff
• Experience working in a school or library setting preferred
• Substitute teaching certificate is a plus
